‘Staying Safe’ - Domestic Abuse Support Group is launching on WEDNESDAY 18TH JANUARY 2017
The group is every Wednesday 09:30am to 12:30pm in the Ground Floor Room - St Helen’s Parish Church, Church Square, St.Helens.
If you are suffering, or have suffered from, the effects of domestic abuse and you are 16 or over, you can attend the group without any appointment.

Penkford Remembrance Display Featured in St Helens Star

The St Helens Star has written an article about our Y7 pupils who worked hard to create a display in memory of Earlestown's and Newton-le-Willows' First World War heroes. The project was undertook as part of the pupils' study to find out more about local history, and was a way they could use their work to show their respect ahead of this year's Remembrance Sunday.

Parents who want to help their children with their maths and English homework might be interested in the free English and maths classes for adults that Adult and Community Learning (part of St Helens Council) are running at Newton-le-Willows Library.
Classes are small, friendly and informal. As well as helping their children, adults can also achieve a qualification for themselves and improve their confidence and job prospects. You can follow Adult & Community Learning on Twitter @STHLearning, and find the poster for the classes
World War 1 Centenary Battlefields Tour Trip

Sunday 13th November – Wednesday 16th November 2016
In November, two of our Year 7 pupils will be travelling to France and Belgium on a school trip to visit some of the battlefields. The boys will learn about what the soldiers did for us and pay respects on behalf of all the pupils and staff at Penkford School.
