John Muir Trust Online Learning
The John Muir Trust is a charity that was founded in 1983 - "We believe wild places are essential for the wellbeing of people and wildlife". https://www.johnmuirtrust.org/
Pupils at Penkford School take part in the John Muir Award scheme as part of their outdoor classroom and Science curricuulm. It is an environmental award scheme for people of all backgrounds – groups, families, individuals. It’s non-competitive, inclusive and accessible. Pupils at Penkford complete a variety of activities that contribute towards the time required to achieve their Explorer or Discovery Award.
To support our pupils and provide an alternative way of learning we will be uploading John Muir Award activities that pupils can carry out in their gardens or on their social distancing daily walks, either independently or with their families.
