Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness week - the importance of being kind. This year's theme is kindness, with the week running from 18 - 24 May.

The focus on kindness is a response to the coronavirus outbreak, which is having a big impact on people's mental health including children.

Please find below a link to the BBC Newsround which has a variety of information and videos for pupils to explore the themes of mental health including

  • What is mental health?
  • Anxiety and depression explained
  • Mental health in lockdown - how have you been affected?

Mark Rowland, Chief executive of the Mental Health Foundation - asks you to think about who would you give a random act of kindness to? See the link below.
